One year up and counting
Well, I finally have a box with more than one years worth of uptime! Of course it took OpenBSD to let it happen. The best part is that it is an old 486-class laptop computer with the screen lobbed off, acting as my main firewall. So, it is an outclassed, old, headless laptop with more than a year's worth of running uptime. I could go on and on, as it beats being otherwise busy at work, but I won't. I just felt a little giddy about this milestone. heh...

I also forgot to mention that 31 May was also the two-year anniversary of me moving into my new house. Just shy of the one-year uptime of the machine. That, and the start of hurricane season. Woohoo!

Pretty damn good, just goes to show you don't need the latest hardware to have it be utilitarian. The OTHER OS (like pork) is mostly to blame :) I am thinking of taking an old SS7 mobo and doing Pavlicek's poor man's DVR/PVR.
