Another trip (of the heart)
This weekend, I headed back on over to the West coast of FL, back to Clearwater. I love driving. I love trips. I love to see my friends. It was a good trip. Since I had an appointment in West Palm, I decided to take one of the other routes across the state. After my stop near Lantana and the 'pike, I headed North on US441, and over to Okeechobee from there. Then, I took SR70 the rest of the way over, through Arcadia. Always a nice drive, and a lot faster than backtracking to Alligator Alley. However, I was notified by my roommate that I had left the garage door open. (Did I? Thought I watched it close. Perhaps I was just too eager to leave. Shrug.) Anyway... This was more than just a little getaway. I had gone over there for many reasons. One of them was to check out the area. I never really liked the Tampa region in general, but I have never had much exposure to Pinellas County. I like it. Nice place. US19 blows, but who dosen't have a chewed up throughway? heh.. The reason I am looking is that I have seen many opportunities on the job sites in the St. Petersburg area. If I can't secure something around here really soon, I am going to have to find work elsewhere. Also, I wanted to work out a few matters of the heart. There is someone there who I am very glad to have met in my life. She is basically everything I look for in a person who I would consider to compliment my life. Not only that, but her basic goals in life match mine very well. Something I would very much like to pursuit in life. But is anything ever that easy? I have been convinced for some time now that if there is a higher power out there, it is hell bent on teaching me the virtues of patience. Enough already, okay?! I'm being patient, to wait and see where this can end up. There are other factors at play, and in the end, I just want her to be happy. I am quite confident we understand where we stand in regards to each other, and what will happen will happen. At least I know it will be right. Most memorable section of drive: Westbound Mitchell Blvd. in Pasco County
